|     Through my fourteen years of web design there have been a few sites that have come and gone. I have not posted screenshots in this section because each of the sites had many layouts so just one wouldn't quite have done them justice. :) .. But there are complete explanations for all. |
PASSIONATE: ELITE |
Closed February 24, 2005. An elite clique. 323 members at time of closure.     Passionate Elite was probably my most successful venture outside of my personal site. Unfortunately when I went offline for nearly a year, it did too! I wouldn't say that it couldn't be resurrected one day, but I will say that at this point I have neither the time nor the patience for it. I wouldn't even know where to begin with rebuilding. Maybe one day. *wink* |
PASSIONATE-EYE REVIEWS |
Closed May 24, 2004. A review website. 13 reviewers & 97 sites reviewed at time of closure.     Passionate-Eye Reviews was a site that stemmed from The Wysterian Awards.. (a site you can read more about below). I loved having a review site again but it became so popular so fast that it started taking up more time than my personal site. Once that happened I knew it needed to go. |
PASSIONATE-EYE AWARDS |
Closed April 7, 2004. An awards website. 1 season completed. 54 sites awarded at time of closure.     Passionate-Eye Awards was only open for one season but was very popular. It was a shame to shut it down but I found it to be necessary the second I considered posting a new layout meant for my personal site there instead just because of time constraints. After that thought crossed my mind, I knew it wasn't the right timing for this site. Special thanks to |
THE WYSTERIAN AWARDS |
Closed September 20, 2003. A review website. 217 reviewed. 10 Judges at closure.     The Wysterian Awards operated for a little over a year. It started as simply offering awards to my visitors at my personal site. I began receiving so many applications that I had to begin enlisting Judges and Assistants to help me. It took off from there and eventually landed at it's own website. It was great fun for a while but as it continued to grow my life sped up and I just simply no longer had time to keep it up. Updates began to slip and I finally had to cut the cord. :( My Assistants: |
SOLITUDE STANDING |
Closed August 25, 2003. A cam portal. 007 members at closure.     I loved the idea of having a Cam Portal and it really was a lot of fun. Solitude Standing was closed due to lack of interest and the inability for some to remain fully clothed on their cams. >.< Anyone who knows me knows that I am against nudity of any kind on the net.. even if it's miss christina aguilera that's showing her stuff as I see in many layouts.. muchless seeing someone's nude body on their cam. It is possible that Solitude Standing will make a come back one day when I am able to monitor all pics on a regular basis.. but for now, it is best for it to remain closed. |
SERENDIPITY LISTINGS |
Closed August 18, 2003. A web directory. 127 members at closure.     *squeals* Web directories are awesome and I was so excited to have one. Serendipity Listings was closed unfortunately due to the simple fact that it takes a lot of hard work to keep up with the manual updates. I have a very busy life as it is and I found that Seren was hanging by a thread to the bottom rung of my priorities. |
